Paola was awarded an ERC Synergy Grant for the project CARAMEL, together with Prof. Javier Montenegro (University of Santiago de Compostela), Prof. Werner Nau (Constructor University, Bremen), Prof. Oliver Hantschel (Marburg University). We look forward to working on this exciting project for the next 6 years! More info on the press release here!

A warm welcome to Evangelos and Kayla, working with Gregor on translational projects focused on muscoskeletal diseases, and Federico, starting his PhD on the development of biorelevant assays!

Our warmest congratulations to Remo, who received the CSL Vifor Prize for best poster in Pharmaceutical Technology at the 18th Swiss Pharma Science Day organized by the Swiss Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences! Remo received the price for presenting part of his PhD project on liposomal depots, well done!!

We warmly welcome Emily to our group! Emily started her PhD on July 1st and will work on lipidic mesophases as drug delivery systems. We wish you all the best for your project!

We are very proud of Lilian for successfully presenting her Master thesis work! Lilian was in our group from January to July working on an endometriosis-related project as part of her Master thesis in Pharmacy. Good luck with the last year of your Master, we will miss you!

In May Paola joined the Executive Board of the Swiss Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences as Vice-President “Science”. Her mandate will last 3 years.

Congratulations Gina, Assumpta and coauthors for the front cover on the March 2025 issue of the Journal of Material Chemistry B! Our study “Raman imaging investigation of hepatic LX-2 cell reversion under different lipidic treatments” (https://doi.org/10.1039/D4TB02082K) was featured by the Editors of the Journal.
